Destination #6: BC Taco

On Sunday, March 8th I ventured out to my sixth food truck stop. Via the Street Food app I found a cluster of food trucks in Porty Moody within Rocky Point Park so I decided to go and see what that was all about. When I got there not only was the location beautiful, but the weather was amazing.

I love Mexican food therefore it was not surprising that the first food truck to catch my eye was BC Taco which was founded in 2016 by Carlos de Ibarrola and his wife, a Mexican couple living in Port Moody. Their food truck offers onsite catering services for various events like weddings, corporate events, and festivals.

They specialize in authentic Mexican cuisine and are known for their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, ceviche, and churros.

While I was there I tried both their chicken and pulled pork burritos which each had rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, crema, and pico de gallo in them. The portion size was great and the flavours were amazing. The chicken one ended up being my favourite but I really think it is because I prefer chicken over pork. I would recommend trying out this food truck for some delicious truly authentic Mexican food!

I plan to come back next weekend to try one of the other food trucks I saw there called Budapest Lango’s. It looks like they sell a special type of bread and I love bread and was very intrigued by the Hungarian street food as it’s something I haven’t seen before. Stay tuned!
