Follow-up post re: Week 3 Reflection – Darcy Mcnee – Curriculum & Innovation in School District 63

Earlier this week my mom said that she wanted cookies and since our family doesn’t have a go-to cookie recipe, I told her about the story that Darcy told us about the teacher who had done an experiment with her students to see who had the best cookie recipe; the recipe from the back of a bag of chocolate chips, a student’s grandma’s recipe, or Chat GPT’s recipe and how her students had determined that Chat GPT had the best recipe. Well, I thought that I would test this theory out myself.

I entered into ChatGPT.com the following: Give me the best chocolate chip cookie recipe

And this is the recipe that it produced:

*note: I only used ¾ of a cup of chocolate chips as that is all that we had at home

It turns out Chat GPT is onto something because they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the salt it suggested adding on top was the perfect finishing touch. I did a family poll, and the vote was unanimous that these were the best ever home-made chocolate chip cookies! My sister said they were as good as the cookies from bak’d cookies cafe.

Now I wonder what kind of amazing savoury recipes it can come up with for me to try??
